Formula 1 - Monte carlo - Monaco
The Formula 1 race at the circuit de Monaco has been a regular fixture since 1955, but since that time the circuit has changed very little. The race circuit has many elevation changes, tight corners and narrow course that makes it on of the most demanding trackes in the formula one race, to win a race at Monaco Grand prix drivers need to be brave and require technical excellence, the circuit leaves no margin for error and drivers are required to concentrate more than any other formula one track.
Graham Hill of Britain also know as Mr.Monaco has won five races here along with the great Michael Schumacher who has also won five races on this
very circuit.Alain prost has won four times while stirling Moss and Jackie Stewart have three victories. But the man who has won the most races here
is Brazil's Aryton Senna who has six victories to his name, winning five of them consecutively between 1989 and 1993.
The 1996 race also saw Michael Schumacher take pole position before crashing out in the final lap,Damon Hill led the first 40 laps before his car
engine failed in the tunnel.Jean Alesi took the lead but suffered suspension failure 20 laps later. Finally it was Olivier panis who won the race and it happend to be his only win and the last for his Ligier team.
In july 2010 Bernie Ecclestone announced a ten year deal with the race organisers, this means the race will be held here for atleast another ten years.which will be good for the formula 1 lovers in monte carlo monaco.
