The first ever Formula One Race in china was held in the year 2004 at the Shanghai International circuit.Its modern track with stunning architecture has made Shanghai international circuit as one of the best cicrcuit's in the world of formula one race.The Chinese government had planned for the formula one circuit in the year 1999, but it failed to meet the required standard set up by FIA.
The first Chinese Grand Prix held on september 26,2004 was won by Ferrari's Rubens Barrichello,the following year it hosted the final round of
Formula One Championship which saw Fernando Alonso win the race and claim the constructor's title for Renault F1.
The Shanghai international Circuit when completed in the year 2004,was the most costliest Formula One Circuit costing more than $200 Million.The
track is 5.451 Km long,and has one of the trickiest corners combinations in the formula one, this gives an exciting motorsport experience to the
spectators.It provides a great view of almost eighty percent of the circuit from its main grandstand which has a seating capacity of 29,000.
